Owner & Valuation Expert

Forgive me for the painfully obvious self-promotion below:

I’m a credentialed and accomplished valuation professional with extensive experience in business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and expert witness services. I deliver the same—often better— work product and service as the big firms, without the bloated fees or bureaucracy.

I’ve built my practice to be sharper, faster, and entirely focused on what truly matters for the client. I start each day excited because I genuinely enjoy working in this business. One of my favorite aspects is the opportunity to continue collaborating with the same people on multiple engagements. I deliver high-quality work product—defensible in any form—which is why many of the attorneys and clients I’ve worked with previously continue to come back. I’m here for the little guy as well as for the most complex, high-stakes matters.

Aside from valuation, I’ve personally negotiated, managed, and closed more than a dozen business sales, with transaction values ranging from $5 million to $85 million. During my time in investment banking, I guided and advised my clients through every stage of the transaction, from start to finish.

Part of being a leader is teaching and mentoring the younger generations. In addition to running this practice, I serve as an Adjunct Professor in the Finance Department at West Virginia University, where I teach undergraduate finance courses. My decade-plus of military service instilled in me the drive to improve every day and the responsibility to elevate those around me.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Northern Michigan University and a Master of Science in Applied Economics from West Virginia University. I’m currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting at West Virginia University.

I hold the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).

Proudly from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, I now live in Rochester, Minnesota, with my wife, Samantha, who works at the Mayo Clinic. We share our home with our newborn daughter, Freya, and our Bernese Mountain Dog, Goose.

Enough about me, Let’s talk about you
