Tim Ketchum is a credentialed valuation professional, economist, and independent expert witness with a proven record of success and skill testifying in court. His experience spans more than 30 industries and over 200 engagements.

In addition to his valuation and expert witness experience, Tim has led, negotiated, and executed more than a dozen M&A transactions with enterprise values ranging from $5 million to $85 million during his tenure in investment banking. He closed deals with buyers ranging from private equity firms and family offices to large multinational, publicly traded companies.

Tim spent more than a decade in the military, which ingrained in him a relentless pursuit of excellence and a commitment to training, mentoring, and building others up. That same commitment continues as he prepares students for careers in finance, business, and accounting in his role as an Adjunct Professor at West Virginia University.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Northern Michigan University and a Master of Science in Applied Economics from West Virginia University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Accounting at West Virginia University.

He is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) through the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Tim now resides in Rochester, Minnesota, with his wife, Samantha, a Speech Language Pathologist at the Mayo Clinic. They are proud parents to their daughter, Freya, and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Goose.
