Tim Ketchum is a credentialed valuation professional and independent expert witness with a proven record of success. He delivers top-tier valuation reports and expert analyses that are admissible in court and accepted by the IRS. His experience spans valuation services across more than 30 industries, supporting litigation matters, IRS compliance, and a wide range of transactional and planning purposes.

In addition to valuation work, Tim has led, negotiated, and closed more than a dozen mergers and acquisitions transactions ranging from $5 million to $85 million. He has advised clients from initial strategy through closing, structuring transactions with small private equity firms and family offices, as well as multinational, publicly traded companies.

Tim’s decade-plus career in the military instilled a strong commitment to discipline, continuous improvement, and service to others. Alongside his professional practice, he serves as an Adjunct Professor at West Virginia University, where he teaches undergraduate finance courses and prepares students for careers in finance and valuation.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Northern Michigan University and a Master of Science in Applied Economics from West Virginia University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Accounting at West Virginia University.

He is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) through the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Tim now resides in Rochester, Minnesota, with his wife, Samantha, a Speech Language Pathologist at the Mayo Clinic. They are proud parents to their daughter, Freya, and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Goose.
